The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Nike have unvieled the team's latest NFL Elite 51 Uniform for the 2014 season.
Incorporating Tampa Bay's rich history, spirit, and fan based, the new look honors the team's past and present with a pewter and red color combo. With a "Bay Orange" trim and reflective chrome border, the uniform is the first of it's kind to incorporate the technically advanced reflective coating. The numbers and custom font gives a nod to the franchise's connection to industrial design while the wooden ship logo should remind their opponents of their relentless energy on the field.
Here's what Buccaneers chairman Edward Glazer had to say about the new uniform: "Today marks the culmination of more than two years of research and planning to bring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into a new and exciting era of our history. We worked closely with our partners at Nike to design a uniform that would set the standard for both design and functionality. The result is a sleek, modern design that honors our championship past while also establishing a newer, bolder identity moving forward."
