The most famous soccer team in the world is close to re-signing with the most famous sports outfitter in the world, as Manchester United and Nike close in on a 10-year contract extension worth $116 million a year.

Set to kick in in 2015, the deal is by far soccer's richest uniform contract, eclipsing the $52 million per year pact between Real Madrird and adidas. The new deal with Nike will triple the value of the brand's current deal with Manchester United.

The pay day doesn't end there for the Red Devils, as the team is set to begin a new jersey sponsorship venture with Chevrolet that will pay $88 million a year. Totaled together, Manchester United's jersey will generate $205 million in revenue per season.
