Today in “They Do It Better Than Us,” we got a look at how Shanghai celebrated Air Max Day. Sure, here in the States we got on social media and posted pictures of all the pairs of shoes we once spent our hard earned money on (and UDFTD LA had a party). But over in China they got to walk through Nike history with a house-sized shoebox filled by a treasure trove of Air Max heritage. The walls were littered by flatscreens holding images from the aggressive Air Max Day video, enough neon to satisfy anyone playing Second Son, and more shoes than you could shake a stick at.

Finally, and most importantly, the box/house/museum urged consumers to “Wear Your Air.” Perhaps because any self respecting Sneakerhead wears their kicks rather than letting them ripen to rotten in the box. Or maybe to ensure you wear out your pair so you’ll buy the next kicks designed to celebrate the newest arbitrary Nike holiday.
