Originally created as a high performance basketball sneaker for emerging star Michael Jordan in the 1984-85 season, the Air Jordan I quickly surpassed it's original purpose. The shoe's high ankle support, Nike Air cushioning system, premium leather, and durable rubber sole made for the skate shoe that just didn't exist at the time. Fast forward 20 years and the Jordan I impact on skateboarding is still evident.

To celebrate the unforeseen success the Jordan I had on the skate community, Nike SB and Jordan Brand will collaborate to bring you the Nike SB x Jordan I. Featuring a black and green upper, and made with premium materials, the Nike SB x Jordan I will be available in limited quantities at select retailers and on Nike.com beginning March 15.

Keep it locked for more updates on the Nike SB x Jordan I, and hopefully the success this release is destined for will drive more Nike and Jordan collaborations in the future.
