More news from Russia this week as Maria Sharapova joined Nike in reopening the court at the Evgeniy Kafelnikov Tennis Academy where the tennis star first picked up a racket. Completely refurbished with a brand new court and inspirational mural, Maria opened the court for play with help from the local community.

"It's incredible to travel back to my roots and still see so much joy and passion from kids for the game today," says Sharapova. "I'm honored to officially re-open the court for play and I hope that these young starts will continue to develop and enhance their technique and see that with dedication and motivation, you can rise to the top."

Stay tuned as Sharapova prepares for her role as tv commentator for the Olympics on her home turf this weekend.
