During this past Sneaker Con in New Orleans, rapper and sneaker aficionado Bun B caught up with his old pal Mannie Fresh to talk kicks and discuss some of the NOLA native's all-time favorite shoes.
Bun B got right down to business and asked Mannie, what his favorite sneaker was and his reply was swift, the Nike Cortez. Fresh went on to explain his reasons with affordability and classic styling amongst his chief reasons for being a fan of the shoe and similarly styled "jogger" offerings from Nike and New Balance.
"Mr. Polo," Bun's nickname for Fresh because of his affinity for the brand, also went on to discuss the ideal footwear attire while rocking the Ralph Lauren label. While Bun's suggestions of tennis shoes, Ballys and Guccis were acceptable, Fresh stated "Jordans" were the ideal sneakers for the hookup— stressing the importance of having the shoes complement the Polo.
Lastly, when Bun asks Mannie about his experience with shoe conventions and what shoe specifically Mannie was trying to hunt down at Sneaker Con, the artist responded that he was a huge fan of the adidas Forums and the one shoe he was gunning for at the show was the Air Jordan II in the OG colorway.
