The shoes that helped changed the tennis footwear landscape for the better is back in 2014, as Nike today officially launched the Air Tech Challenge II “Hot Lava.”

Unfortunately, the legendary ATC II didn’t stick around for long, as it sold out within just an hour after going up for sale. Still, give it up to Nike for showing us tennis fans some love with the latest limited edition release.

Made famous by none other than Andre Agassi, the ATC II was a game-changer in the tennis world when it dropped back in 1990. The shoe featured a synthetic leather upper, which allowed it to stand up against hefty competition. It also featured an external molded heel counter for improved fit, and was one of the lightest tennis shoes of its era.

There’s no telling if/when Nike will do another run of the ATC II. Maybe next time you won’t sleep on it.
