The rumor has now been confirmed as adidas officially announces the signing of Houston Rockets point guard, Jeremy Lin.

“I’m really excited to join the adidas family,” said Lin. “They’ve changed the game with new technology and style and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

The move sees the former Knick transitioning from Nike to the Three Stripes, with Lin joining new teammate Dwight Howard on an adidas roster that also includes PGs Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard and John Wall.

Some could speculate that D. Rose being out again due to injury prompted the signing of Lin, but the question is—will this partnership be able to stir up some Linsanity once again? Only time will tell.
