Now that France is officially headed to Brazil next summer, Nike takes this opportunity to unveil the 2014 World Cup kits for Les Bleus.

Franck Ribery and company will don a classic Blue-on-White look that pays tribute to the national pride of France. The kits come complete with a collar and side-hem design for a luxurious fit. Both the shirts and shorts feature a redesigned crest that draws inspiration from the 1958 version pays tribute to the history of the French National Team.

“Representing France is the ultimate honor,” said Blaise Matuidi. “When we play it is for our fans and our country – we want to make them proud. The new home kit is a symbol of French elegance with the technology that will help us perform at our best in Brasil.”

More than just good looks, the new French kits are integrated with state-of-the-art technical features to improve performance on the pitch. The kits are constructed from a blend of Nike Dri-FIT technology, “burnout” mesh and laser-cut ventilation holes for the best in cooling and comfort. Combined, these features allow players to keep a regulated body temperature as the intensity of the game heats up. In the fit category, Nike used 3-D body scans of some of the world’s top soccer stars to use as a template for the new kits. The result is a tailored fit uniform that allows the body to move naturally, all the while providing just the correct amount of support. Nike also paid close attention to the socks, which feature a sleeker fit specific to the need of soccer. The Elite Match Fit socks are laden with cushioning in high-impact areas, as well as proper arch support to lock the foot in place.

Fans can get their hands on the French National Team kits beginning December 5, 2013. The kits are available for pre-order now at Nike.
