Next year is truly shaping up to be a pretty damn good year for the retro part of the sneaker world. With quite a bit of high profile returns already on tap, the list of kicks set to make their triumphant comebacks to the scene they once dominated, continues to grow seemingly by the day. Twenty-two years after its debut, the Nike Air Raid is amongst those kicks set to re-release in 2014. Despite this being the third time this classic streetball silhouette has received some retro love, Nike obviously feels that the third time will definitely equate to a retail charm. When you take into consideration that the previously mentioned model will kick off its third retro campaign in an OG-inspired fashion, how could you not be enthused about what’s to come. While all of you sneakerheads/streetballers should be well acquainted with this particular model, we would like to let you know that there will indeed be a subtle change to shade of grey used on these joints. Seeing as how many of us remember Nike using Medium Grey about the accents, it looks like we will see touches of Flint Grey instead. Minor change aside, this forthcoming retro release still packs just about as powerful a punch now as it did twenty-two years ago. Though we still have plenty of time left before these drop, will you be planning on picking these up in the new year?
