For now, Nike doesn’t have any plans for a new tennis shoe (none that it’s shared with us anyway), but it does look like the Swoosh will freshen up two of its top current models—the Air Max Courtballistec 4.3 and Air Max Cage—with bright new colorways.
The good folks over at Holabrid Sports shared the above image on Instagram showing the two new looks for the Courtballistec 4.3 and Air Max Cage, and while the updates seem to be just cosmetic, it’s more than enough to get us excited and itching to step up to the service line in a pair. It looks like Nike has given both shoes the ultimate Volt treatment, with the Courtballistec 4.3 donning a predominantly yellow paint job with black detailing, and the Air Max Cage with a Volt-on-White color scheme.
For the record, the Courtballistec 4.3 has received the Volt treatment in the past (see our performance review on the shoe), although it was slightly more modest than the upcoming version. Regardless, we’re certainly looking forward to this drop. Stay tuned for release info.
