Being from Chicago, Derrick Rose has spent all of his life and career in his hometown (with the exception of one year of college in Memphis, Tennessee). Sometimes, getting away from home is way to refresh yourself, you know? If you do understand, then you’ll understand Rose’s latest edition of his D Rose 4 sneaker. Sneaker Report has brought you the scoop on the standard Chicago Bulls colorways, as well as his dedications to his mother and his former high school, and now you can see what’s coming next from the brand with the three stripes.

Dubbed as the “Boardwalk” edition, the adidas D Rose 4 Boardwalk is another new take on his signature shoe, giving context to his time spent rehabbing his knee and getting stronger before the 2013 NBA tip-off.

As Rose told adidas, “It’s important for me to work on my game every day during the off-season. I chose southern California as my summer home because it’s a place where I can focus on training and getting ready for the season. I love this colorway of the shoe because it tells the other side of the story about where I spend my time.”

Very distinctive in a mint green x pink colorway, this Boardwalk version of the D Rose 4 still maintains the same great technical attributes as the ones that came before. There’s the Crazyquick sole for improved flexion and stability, a plush GEOFIT collar for security around the lower leg and ankle, a modified SPRINTFRAME in the heel and arch for lockdown and fascia protection, and adiPRENE+ in the midsole for snappy cushioning.

The adidas D Rose 4 “Boardwalk” will be made available to you on November 7 – just enough time for you to ball out at the start of the winter basketball season.
