When it comes to Air Jordans and color schemes, the “Bred” colorway is undoubtedly the most popular. While every Jordan model hasn’t donned the infamous color blocking, the ones that did, will forever be etched into the deepest parts of all of our sneaker memories. On December 28th, the model that kicked things off will be making its triumphant return and this time around, it will be bringing some old school fixings with it. Having last been seen back in 2011, the banned version of the “Bred” Air Jordan 1, will indeed be released yet again. Aside from ditching the Jumpman logo that usually rests comfortably about the heel, this upcoming release will arrive sporting the classic Nike Air tongue tags. With history on its side along with this particular colorway still sitting atop many sneakerheads must have list, we think its safe to say that whether it’s solely because of hype, or by chance because of nostalgia, this release is sure to be a huge success. For anyone who may have missed out on getting their hands on a pair of “Bred” AJ1’s in ’01 or 2011, your shot at redemption is just around the bend.
