A while back, Sneaker Report previewed the Under Armour Micro G Pulse, one of the latest UA running shoes to hit the market. And while the lightweight shoe was perfect for summer running, one downside to it was its lack of weatherproofing, as in, you wouldn’t be able to use it in the cold and wet winter months. So UA decided to do something about that by giving the Micro G Pulse the Storm treatment.

Just in time for the fast-approaching fall and winter seasons, UA has rolled out the Micro G Pulse Storm—still the lightweight and comfortable shoe we’ve come to know, but with a DWR coating to help repel water when the weather turns of the worse. The shoe’s ripstop upper has been slightly tweaked for maximum protection without affect the overall weight.

Runners still the same responsive cushioning thanks to a full-length Micro G midsole, as well as stability from a TPU heel counter. The Storm version of the Micro G Pulse does come with more aggressive traction lugs compared to the previous version, in case you want to hit the off-road trail.
