Nike is back again with the latest from their “Just Do It” campaign. Taking place in Turkey, a country where sports participation is the lowest in all of Europe, the commercial was made to inspire athletes to start a new movement in the streets of Istanbul and all over the country.
In the film, everyday athletes get active with professional athletes to power a “human printing press”. Each stage of the printing press is run by a different sport, from skateboarding to boxing, to create beautifully designed prints. When these athletes increase their physical effort, it increases the speed of the printing press. This shows off great cohesiveness among the athletes, even when someone takes a fall. The campaigns film features football players Burak Yılmaz and Didier Drogba; runner Gamze Bulut; volleyball player Naz Aydemir; and basketball players Engin Atsür and Birsel Vardalı.
Nike will be issuing online challenges throughout the campaign and holding events to inspire people in Istanbul to #justdoit. This also encourages young athletes to move and be more active and show that sports isn't only reserved for the professional athletes. Check out the film and see how these athletes come together to create some incredible prints.
