Alongside its first-ever true trail running sneaker, the BoCo AT, specialty brand Newton Running will continue to expand its lineup of high performance running shoes with the launch of the Distance Elite racing flat.
Now, given the presence of Newton’s trademark Action/Reaction forefoot technology, the Distance Elite isn’t just any ordinary racing flat. Rather, it combines features from other high profile Newton racing models (such as the MV3) with the cushioning of lightweight trainers to create a highly responsive and highly functional shoe.
Given that the Distance Elite is designed for some of the most elite runners around, the shoe features a quick-dry mesh upper with minimal stitching for the most comfortable fit possible. It has an asymmetrical lacing system, as well as welded straps across the midfoot for support.
Look for the Newton Distance Energy to hit retailers starting November 1, 2013. The shoe is expected to be priced at $155.
