At the request of Cincinnati Bengals wideout A.J. Green, footwear customizer Dez Customz has created a pair of Nike Alpha Pro ¾ cleats, and we must say—not since Marshawn Lynch’s Skittles-themed Nike Vapor Talon Elites have we seen customization taken to such an extreme level.
Featuring an intimidating tiger-inspired design that pays tribute to Green’s Bengals, the custom cleats are coated in an orange base color with stripes along the forefoot. Even more ferocious is the tiger eye on the collar that will be glaring back at opponents as Green hypothetically leaves them in the dust on his way to the end zone. For a completely personal touch, the all-pro receiver’s name is also etched on the heels.
With the NFL season barely getting underway tonight, we’ll likely see an array of customized footwear on the gridiron in the coming months. Though, these A.J. Green exclusives are definitely an early favorite for the best of the year.
