Players of FC Bayern Munich display a playful, brotherly spirit that you can’t find many places. That same spirit has been captured with some help from adidas, the team has unveiled their new kit that they will play in for the 2013/2014 season.
The kit is designed off the traditional Bavarian costume is based on the record holding champions motto, “More Bavaria than ever before”. The brown shorts create a characteristic lederhosen look while the jersey lends the kit its traditional look. Lederhosen, for those who don’t know, are considered to be the work wear or leisurewear for working-class men in Germany. On the back of the jersey’s collar read the club’s motto “Mia san mia” (we are who we are), which is a sign of Bavarian self-esteem. A jacket and hat to be worn when the players walk on to the field completes the Oktoberfest outfit of the FC Bayern players.
"We are from Bavaria, and the world-renowned Oktoberfest is part of us. That's why I think this kit is a great idea," commented FC Bayern midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
