What a story for the youth! Victoria Duval, 17-years-old and ranked 296th in the world, defeated the 2011 US Open Champion, Samantha Stosur in the first round of the 2013 US Open. It was just Duval's second career Grand Slam match and the crowd was really behind her as she came from behind to win 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

"I was really happy," Duval said in her high-pitched voice. "I mean, you can tell by all the jumping I did." Unlike the early days of Serena and Venus, it is usually rare to see a teenager pull off an upset on this big of a stage. However, here “Have Fun” attitude and her families support gave her the lift that she needed.

Duval’s inspiring victory was performed in the Asics GEL-Solution Speed tennis shoe. The shoe gives the player a lightweight feel with great lockdown for responsive support. This shoe is perfect for those aggressive players looking to add more foot speed on court.
