This time last year, Under Armour introduced the Micro G Torch basketball shoe. After riding the success of the shoe through the season, UA has now rolled out the follow-up model to the Torch, the UA Micro G Torch 2.
The Micro G Torch 2 has been refined in terms of design. The shoe’s synthetic upper features laser-etched perforations throughout for improved breathability compared to the initial Micro G Torch. It also features a dual-layer wing lacing system in place of the standard laces for a more custom fit. The shoe’s one-piece outsole also remains untouched for sure-footed traction.
Beneath the surface, though, the shoe features the same key performance elements that have made the Micro G Torch a popular choice on the hardwood—features like a full-length Micro G midsole for lightweight responsiveness, as well as an Ortholite sockliner for cushioning underfoot.
Best of all, the Micro G Torch 2 remains under the $100 mark—a rarity for basketball sneakers nowadays.
