Tirunesh Dibaba

Tirunesh Diababa is hands down the most dominant long distance runner her sport has ever seen. No one to this date has managed to outrun her. Diababa regains her IAAF World Championship 10,000m title after a six year hiatus with her last lap under a minute taking her third title in 30:43.35. She still had the power and speed after 29 long minutes to finish the last lap in a sprint, blowing by all her competition and taking her to the top. This is now her 11th race that she’s started in. Since then till now, she has won each and every one of her races, a record that includes two Olympic titles in 2008 and 2011. The win gives her a fifth gold medal overall. Can anyone stop her?

Diababa wore a Nike runner as she charged through this event to demolish her competition. She has been known to wear adidas apparel with Nike runners, and this time was no different. It’s a mystery to whether or not she will go on another hiatus until 2016 Olympics in Rio where she will be on her quest for her fourth gold medal in a Championship. Let’s see her go for 12.
