Last year, Ewing Athletics reemerged with the flagship Ewing 33 Hi model, and today the brand's latest retro style, the Ewing Focus, makes its return.

Releasing in a classic black and orange "PE" version worn by Patrick Ewing himself, as well as a white, black, and red style reminiscent of Patrick's Chicago rivals, the Ewing Focus is back after a two decade hiatus. Ewing wore the black and orange Focus style throughout the 1993 NBA Playoffs, where he led New York to an impressive Eastern Conference run before being shut down by Jordan and the Bulls.

The Ewing Focus is touted by the brand as "Perhaps the second most popular Ewing shoe in the line after the 33 Hi," which, "At the time of release it was the most technologically advanced shoe the company had released." The high-top design features a textured, lightweight midsole with neoprene inserts and an embedded ankle strap to provide adequate lockdown for big men like Ewing. Although there are definitely lighter, more efficient technologies available today, the Ewing Focus would be suitable light levels of play.

Check out both colorways of the Ewing Focus in the gallery above, as well as a vintage catalog shot and some stills of Ewing himself in his PE style. The Ewing Focus is available now from Packer Shoes for $120.
