In Fall 2013, New Balance will introduce a series of new and improved running footwear, including the follow-up model to the award winning 1400 racing flat, the NB 1400v2.

At its core, the 1400v2 features the same performance tech—like a responsive REVlite midsole—that made the previous version so popular. Instead, much of the updates come in the upper, which features less seams and a reduced weight for enhanced comfort and a overall, a more streamlined fit.

The changes in the shoes upper equate to significant drop in weight for the 1400v2, which, at 6.3 ounces, will be an entire ounce lighter than its predecessor. Look for the shoe to begin hitting retailers in October. It is expected to be priced at $100.
