adidas has gotten a lot of high profile backing for the recently-released Springblade running shoe from its sponsored athletes (including RGIII). Now, the New York Knicks’ swingman Iman Shumpert is the latest to put the revolutionary blade on his feet.
As noted by his Instagram post from earlier today, Shumpert threw on his Three Stripes gear and flashed a pose with the Springblades—though for some reason they’re resting on his shoulder and not his feet. Now, Shump may have adopted the Springblades as his own, but don’t expect him to rock them on the hardwood anytime soon. It’s not like he need the extra hops. Besides, something tells us David Stern would never let that happen.
Instead, like RGIII, Shumpert will likely get more use out of the Springblades as training sneakers.
