Magellan Echo

Magellan has long been making popular innovative GPS devices for vehicles, fitness, outdoor and mobile navigation. But now, the brand makes its long-awaited entrance into the running industry with the introduction of the Echo running watch.

Magellan’s first watch of its kind, the Echo utilizes smartphone fitness apps to feed users with real-time fitness data to help keep tabs on performance. The watch can connect wirelessly to a smartphone via Bluetooth Smart, allowing runners to see elapsed time, distance, pace, and other performance metrics. It even lets you control your music playlist directly from the watch. Along with performance features, the watch has everyday functions like day, time, and date. It even comes in a sleek design to appeal to tech and non-tech savvy athletes alike.

The Magellan Echo comes with an optional Heart Rate Monitor, and is compatible with both iPhone and Android products. Look for the running watch to hit retailers in Fall 2013. Price for the Echo is set at $149 ($199 for HR).
