Following the success of the 880 running series, New Balance has release the third installment of the popular cushioned trainer, the 880v3.
Available in an initial bright green colorway, the NB 880v3 keeps much of the performance specs from the previous model, including Abzorb cushioning in the midfoot for shock retention, and a Ndurance rubber compound outsole for durable traction. The shoe also comes with a double-stacked Acteva Lite midsole that is 24 percent lighter than traditional foam. Though the shoe’s design is a bit more streamlined than the 880v2, oddly enough, the latest version comes in a bit heavier (11.3 oz) on the scale than its predecessor (11 oz)—guess that just means more cushioning.
