On May 22, 1988, Larry Bird and Dominique Wilkins faced off in one of the most memorable offensive showings of all time. It was Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the final game in a series between the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks. Wilkins exploded with 47 points, while Bird had 34. Twenty of Bird's points came in the fourth quarter, which was critical as the Celtics were able to advance with a 118-116 win.

Larry Legend is mostly known for his signature Converse Weapon, but by '88 he had moved on to the Converse ERX-400. Featuring Energy Wave cushioning and a number of ventilation panels, the ERX-400 was one of the first high performance basketball models from Converse.
