As the market for performance tracking devices continues to expand exponentially, it looks like Nike will be upping the ante on the FuelBand.

According to sources, the Swoosh is in the field-testing phase of the FuelBand 2, which, apparently, has been packed with a bevy of performance features that the initial FuelBand lacked. The FuelBand 2 is set to include Bluetooth 4.0, as well as a heart rate monitor. The upgraded version will also feature a smoother LED display and a longer battery life—both of which will certainly be welcomed by current FuelBand users.

Stay tuned for release information on the Fuelband 2.
