Nike Blue Chip PE vs. Nike Zoom LeBron VI "Home"

Nike stepped it up with the Blue Chip PEs for the Thunder's inaugural season but it still wasn't enough to knock off The King and the machine Nike had already put behind him for half a decade. And hold up, LeBron and KD combining for 27 points? Yeah, that happened.

Nike Zoom LeBron VI "Home" vs. Nike Blue Chip PE

A month later the two superstars met up with the same kicks yielding the same result on the footwear front as well as the win/loss column. At this point LeBron was just too much to f*ck with.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII "White/Navy/Red" vs. Nike Zoom KD I

Nike switched up the Zoom Air to Air Max for LeBron and KD got his own signature look. Even though LeBron went nuts on the floor dropping 44 it wasn't enough heat to take down Durant's home shoes that changed from white to orange from the outside-in — awesome move to set his first joints apart.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII "Hardwood Classics" vs. Nike Zoom KD II

The Cavs went with the retro away jerseys on their home floor and the sneakers Nike cooked up to coincide with the unis made for one of LeBron's illest VIIs that season.

Nike Zoom KD II "All-Star" vs. Nike Air Max LeBron VII "All-Star"

In their first head-to-head All-Star Game, Durantula was already hooked up with his own signature ASG colorway but Bron-Bron's crew had been banging out the weekend classics for a minute.

Nike Zoom KD III "Home" vs. Nike LeBron 8 V2 "Black/Red"

Double-doubles from both players made for a hell of a game, but ultimately LeBron's new squad took the 'W' and No. 6's away colorway kicks were just too much for KD's white IIIs.

Nike LeBron 8 V2 "All-Star" vs. Nike Zoom KD III "All-Star"

Kobe was named the game's MVP despite LeBron's triple-double, but we give King James the nod over Durant on the footwear battle with his sick blue colorway of his 'Bron 8s.

Nike Zoom KD III "Away" vs. Nike LeBron 8 V2 "White/Black/Red"

This is the point when KD was earning just as much respect as anyone else on the court for his game and his kicks were making a move on the most coveted list as well. The kid done grown up.

Nike Zoom KD IV "Galaxy" vs. Nike LeBron 9 "Galaxy"

Thanks to the lockout, the All-Star Game was the first time the two heavyweights got a chance to face-off in the 2011-2012 season. Although LeBron had been dominating the sneaker battle, it was KD who took home the game MVP honors and donned the better kicks on the hardwood in this matchup.

Nike LeBron 9 PE vs Nike Zoom KD IV "Home"

LeBron was quiet on all fronts and KD put out one of his best regular-season games to date. KD's near triple-double helped the Thunder coast by the Heat in his clean white, blue, and orange home kicks.

Nike Zoom KD IV PE  vs. Nike LeBron 9 "Blackout"

Just ten days after their last face-off, the two met up again (c'mon shortened season or not, the NBA was milking this match-up, can you blame them?) and Durantula got the best of Bron-Bron with his player edition kicks.

Nike Zoom KD IV "Finals" vs. Nike LeBron 9 Elite "Finals"

The Kobe and LeBron Finals matchup never happened (and it's looking like it never will), so this was the second-best thing we (and Nike) could get. Right out the gate LeBron killed the championship series with the playoff edition 9s built just for the cause. Stunting at its finest.

Nike Zoom KD IV "Finals" vs. Nike LeBron 9 Elite "Road"

Even with the home-court advantage, KD failed to get a win in the sneaker battle. LeBron's Elite away editions were too much for anyone too handle, salute to anyone that got the gold-accented kicks.

Nike Zoom KD IV PE vs. Nike LeBron 9 Elite "Home"

LeBron's home sneakers have never been the strong point in his signature series. It's crazy how much of a difference just flipping the dominant color from white to black can make — on the other side of things peep KD's away player editions.

Nike Zoom KD IV PE vs. Nike LeBron 9 Elite "Home"

The same exact sneaker matchup as Game Three, same results. The KD IV took Durant's sneaker game to a whole new level and his performance on court followed.

Nike Zoom KD IV PE vs. Nike LeBron 9 Elite "Home"

Once again the same sneakers as the other two games in South Beach and although its the shoes that 'Bron won his first ring in, we still have to go with KD's PEs. We're sure LeBron got over it quick when he hoisted the hardware in front of millions. Fair enough.

Nike LeBron X "Christmas" vs. Nike Zoom KD V "Christmas"

Christmas games have brought out some of the most creative colorways from Nike and they didn't hold back with the KD Vs. LeBron has stayed a little more reserved with typically all-red uppers and in this case they were the perfect pairing for the big homie Jesus' birthday game.
