The Glycerin from Brooks Running is one of those sneakers that you don't pay all that much attention to, but when you get a chance to try a pair on, it changes your world.

Boasting a fresh look, along with upgrades under the hood, the Glycerin will be back for its 11th edition in Spring 2013. Designed for neutral runners, Brooks Running has done away with the midfoot shank seen in previous models to optimize ground contact and provide an overall smoother ride. The sneaker's Brooks DNA midsole offers excellent foot support and impact resistance while its Caterpillar Crash Pad provides a smooth heel-to-to transition.

The Glycerin 11 comes with a reduced weight, mostly due to an ultra-comfortable upper that uses 3D print overlays that create structure without the added ounces. The upper itself is constructed from a light microfiber material, which provides weather protection without sacrificing comfort and breathability.

With a price tag of $150, the release date for the Glycerin 11 is set for June 1, 2013.
