The trail edition of Saucony’s popular Kinvara series will be back for another go-around this fall. Building on the success of the Kinvara TR, the TR2 boasts a similar look to its predecessor, with just a few tweaks to improve the shoe’s performance.

Along with a boost of color for more visual appeal, the Kinvara TR2 features a carbon fiber rock plate in the midsole to give it maximum protection from the obstacles runners usually face during trail running, without compromising its minimal design. In the cushioning department, Saucony has done away with the ProGrid found in the TR1, in lieu of a better-cushioned PowerGrid unit in the heel.

With a price tag of $100, the Kinvara TR2 should hit retailers in the later summer months.
