Earlier this year we tested out the New Balance 20v2 Cross-Trainer with great results. The minimal training sneaker was so impressive that we couldn’t get our hands on the next version, the 20v3. As our weartesters get busy testing out the latest edition, we’ll do a quick overview of the shoe’s performance specs.

The Minimus 20v3 is just the type of shoe you want to rock to the gym—it’s lightweight, comfortable, breathable, and doesn’t look too shabby either. The 20v3 weighs in at a mere 6.5 ounces (nearly a half ounce lighter than its predecessor). Designed to be worn both with or without socks, the shoe’s 2mm heel-to-toe drop offers a smooth, low-to-the-ground ride that neutral runners will surely appreciate. New to the 20v3 is a Vibram outsole that looks to have improved traction compared to the previous model.

Need to hear more about the NB 20v3 before buying? We’ll have a performance review for you shorty.
