This year we’ve seen the likes of Derrick Rose and LeBron James get their own signature apparel collections. So it’s only fitting that Kobe Bryant gets in on the action sooner or later.
With the unveil of Bryant’s latest signature shoe, the KOBE 8 SYSTEM, a couple of nights ago, Nike also launched the KOBE 8 performance apparel collection to compliment the look. Like the sneaker, Kobe directed Nike designers on what he wants his apparel line to embody.
Highlighting the KOBE 8 collection is the lightweight, water-resistant Nike Component Jacket, which combines up to four separate pieces that can be altered depending on the athlete’s immediate needs. With the pull of a zipper the jacket can be converted into a performance fleece vest that is both warm and allows athletes to move freely without being constricted.
The apparel collection will drop simultaneously with the KOBE 8 SYSTEM footwear line on December 20th, 2012. Find it at Nike.
