Earlier this month New Balance announced plans to launch a skate brand, New Balance Numeric, with the help of Black Box Distribution. Rumors have been circulating that New Balance signed PJ Ladd as their first team rider, which would make sense considering his hometown of Rockland is just 30 minutes or so from the Boston home of New Balance. Today we get our first look at what appears to be one of the upcoming New Balance models that will eventually become the Numeric line, the 891. Judging from the picture, New Balance is headed in the right direction with simple and classic styling that features a removable Revlite insole.
