It's that time of year again. Time to reflect back on the best sneaker releases of the year and 2012 has been filled with memorable footwear moments. To determine the Top 10 Sneakers of 2012, we gathered a panel of experts for a round table battle discussion. The panel includes legendary DJ and sneaker expert, DJ Clark Kent, founder of Influence Mktg, Jay Corbin, founder and front man of Nice Kicks, Matt Halfhill, Ronnie Fieg of Kith, Jesse Villanueva of ALIFE, Frank the Butcher of Butcher's Block TV. Representing Complex in the discussions were Sneaker Editor Russ Bengtson and Director of Content Strategy Joe La Puma.

New Balance had a number of silhouettes in the discussion for this year's Top 10 Sneakers of the Year. After much debate, it came down to the unique Nonnative edition, which combines the upper from the 997 with the outsole and midsole combination of the 998. Check out the video to see how the Nonnative x New Balance 997 was chosen as this year's #8 Sneaker of the Year.
