Robert Griffin III is an adidas guy through and through. To prove his loyalty, the first overall pick of the NFL draft found a clever way to cover up the Nike Swoosh on his pregame warmup shirt prior to a matchup against New Orleans this past Sunday. Instead of just putting a piece of tape over the logo, Griffin wrote the word “Heart” over it, thinking he could get away with it. Unfortunately, people took notice, including Nike and NFL officials. However since the infraction didn’t happen during actual game time, the chances of any sort of fine are unlikely. The important thing to remember here is that the rookie sensation lit up the saints en route to a 40-32 upset over the Saints.
