Nike is making all sorts of moves in 2012. After taking over the NFL, and increasing their presence in the soccer world, the Swoosh isn’t leaving basketball out of the equation.
Starting January 2013, Nike will produce uniforms for the Spanish Basketball Federation, including both men’s and women’s national teams. Spain went with Li-Ning as it's outfitter for the London Olympics, however it seems like Nike's appeal was too easy to pass up for the basketball powerhouse. Some of the best basketball players from Spain were on hand for the announcement in Madrid, including NBA stars Pau and Marc Gasol. The first set of uniforms will be debuted next summer.
