Andy Murray played for nearly 5 hours in his head-to-toe adidas Barricade gear during last night's US Open Final. Ending Britain's drought of Grand Slam Men's Singles championships (first winner since Fred Perry's win in 1936) Murray made Djokovic work for it last night. Coming off of his recent Olympic gold, Murray's big win is a huge step for tennis coming out of the UK. adidas may have known what was up three years ago, having dropped Djokovic to focus on the young Murray prior to any title wins. Also of note is that both Djokovic and Murray faced off last night in the adidas Barricade 7.0s, in their respective colorways, which is a strong statement about the performance level from adidas Tennis.
Congratulations to Andy Murray and Serena Williams, and we can't wait to catch them next time around.
