When Nike announced a couple months ago that they'd be getting rid of Cole Haan by Spring 2013 in an effort to refocus their growth strategy, we thought for sure that the hybrid models would stop pouring in since the Lunarlon sole is a proprietary Nike technology. But being the true Beliebers that we are, you should never say never because Cole Haan is planning to drop a penny loafer version for the upcoming holiday season. It looks like they'll be releasing four sole colorways—pink, blue, yellow and orange all with various colored uppers. Although a solid release date probably won't come for another few months, there are a couple of (probably fake) sample pairs floating around eBay if you're trying to be the only guy on your block walking on the moon.
