Agency: Wieden + Kennedy
Year(s): 1987

This one is arguably a “campaign”, but I will debate that it is the one that introduces the whole Nike Air line of technology in 1987. We see the first Air Max bubble along with spliced in images of Jordan, McEnroe and several weekend warriors going at it in their Nike Air sneakers. The song featured: "Revolution No. 9," the first Beatles recording to be licensed for use in a television commercial. Nike paid $500,000 for the right to use the song for one year. I'm sure this event also had ramifications across the whole advertising and recording industries.
