35. Opium x Nike Zoom Spiridon (Unreleased)

Year: 2005

The Nike Zoom Spiridon was a pioneering runner when it came to Nike's Zoom Air technology in 1997 and fans wanted it back. In 2005 they got a fairly faithful retro. The following year, French sneaker fans could pick up a patent-aided Courir SMU too, but there were some unreleased masterpieces along the way. The mystery orange and blue sample never saw light of day, but not putting out the Opium edition was doubly strange. If you've been to Paris and seen the Opium boutique's in-store museum of Nike rarities and classics, you know they don't play. Their 180 went on sale, but this black and gold Spiridon makeup was the ultimate Opium shoe. This is the best Quickstrike that never was.
