Unless you're an old head, chances are you missed out on the Converse Dr. J era of the '70s (daisy dukes and all). But lucky for us all, Converse re-upped on the classic pro model, and now they have linked with sak founder Ryusaka Hiruma in delivering a super-premium, super-limited, handcrafted Dr. J Pro Leather variation. That's right — the vintage hoops sneaks have been reborn as they have been wrapped in luxurious Italian leather and hand-stitched to complete ultimate precision. Not only that, but the kicks also welcome a leather sole as well as accommodating leather laces which inevitably round out the quality look. Only problem is — quantity is limited to 24 pairs worldwide and will retail for $600. But if you think you've got what it takes (on all accounts), the run is set to release at select First String accounts on September 9. Best of luck to you.
