46. Reebok GL6000

Year: 1986

The Reebok GL 6000 is a shoe that quietly redefined the runner alongside the likes of the Phase II. The total support system, dual-density midsole and that distinctive wavy (free Max B) forefoot application, plus that secure strap lacestay that threw back to other classic Reeboks made this perfect. It's all in that shape. The Goodyear Indy 500 rubber outsole was a perfect finishing touch. A weak post-Millenial retro was followed by an excellent one a couple of years ago. It's all in the shape.
