50. adidas zx 930

Year: 1988

This is an underrated shoe. The entire ZX family from adidas could make up the bulk of this top 50, but we tend to forget the 510s and 930s of the 1980s' adidas running output. The teal, grey and red on an upper that evokes the old 710 design from 1987 is set off with an all terrain sole unit that was pretty damned technical in its day. It's a lot of numbers to have to deal with, but this is one of the greatest adidas colorways of all time on an amazing shoe design that was built to take some distance. That's all you need to know. And this French-made classic really doesn't get the attention it deserves.
