Back in 1987 Steve Van Doren, son of Vans co-founder Paul Van Doren, organized the first-ever streetskating competion — "Streetstyle". It had skaters from all over pulling tricks on everything from pool tables to parking blocks. To commemorate the historic event, Vans has released an Old Skool as part of a 'Streetstyle" pack that also features a Vans Era and Sk8-Hi. They feature a light blue and black suede upper atop a vulcanized sole and a red heel tab with the original Streetstyle logo, designed by Steve himself.
