On Tuesday May 17th, 2011 Complex partnered with Sneakerpedia to host its U.S. launch party in New York City at Good Units in midtown Manhattan. The biggest names in the sneaker game from around the world were in attendance to celebrate the Sneakerpedia launch. Arriving in their finest sneakers, guests checked out the Sneakerpedia registration area where they signed up for site sharing their sneakers with the global sneaker community. Guests took pictures at the Sneakerpedia themed photo booth showing their love for sneakers and the culture that surrounds it. Entertainment for the launch party was provided by the legendary ATF sneaker crew consisting of DJ Clark Kent, DJ Greg Street, and the iconic southern MC, Bun B. The performances were well received as each artist gave praise to Sneakerpedia and the exciting launch event that bought the online community to life.
