Half of the sneaker game is knowing what kicks are out when, and which shops have them. Our Shelf Space column looks at what shops around the country are stocking in a given week, and gives a quick glimpse into the mind of the buyer/manager/owner who put them there.

As we continue our mission of bringing you the insides of the best sneaker spots from around the U.S., we headed down south and stopped in at Wish, located in Atlanta, Georgia. The shop manager, Alex Maeland, and the lead buyer, Frank Cooke, gave us a look at 10 of the newest sneakers currently sitting on the store shelves. Nike Air Penny 1 “Orlando”, $125

Frank Says: "Nike’s Air Max Penny 1 sees a re-issue for 2011 as the shoe returns in its original Orlando Magic colorway. This is just a great nostalgic shoe, and definitely a must cop!"

Taka Hayashi Sk8 Hi LX Black, $100

Frank Says: "Such a great shoe! I just love the materials used with the leather laces, which makes for a very unique silhouette."

Converse Schott "Leather Jacket" Navy Blue, $150

Frank Says: "It features an all-premium, navy blue leather makeup with a bronze zipper design on the heel and midfoot, with a white vulcanized rubber sole. I think that this is just an overall clean shoe and would make any outfit stand out."

Converse One Star Classic 1974 OX, $80

Frank Says: "The shoe is comprised of leather with a matching leather toe bumper to give it an elevated, hand-crafted look and feel. There are only 72 of the Marigold colorways available in the US. Which makes this shoe super exclusive."

Adidas Originals x Neighborhood Jam Home Made Stan Smith, $150

Frank Says: "The latest rendition of the 1980's tennis silhouette comes out of a collab between Adidas Originals and Kazuki Kuraishi and JAM HOME MADE. Set in an all-black premium leather, the Stan Smith features a nice cheetah print hologram on the back heel."

Krew McKinley in Black Leather, $150

Frank Says: "The McKinley has a black premium leather upper with a natural leather sole. It is constructed using premium materials and minimal branding. This is totally different from what Krew has offered in the past, it has just a mature look with awesome material."

Nike Blazer Mid Zip AB Canvas Navy Blue, $95

Frank Says: "This shoe has a great bit of improvements from the classic Nike Blazer. It has minimal Nike branding, while incorporating a rubber toe and zipper detail on the canvas upper. I like these because they are very versatile, I feel you could wear them being casual or in streetwear!"

Nike Air Foamposite 1 “Pewter”, $200

Frank Says: "The Foamposite 1 is one of the most sought-after retro shoes, I just remember it being one of the highest-priced shoes that I had ever seen when I was younger. The metallic execution is phenomenal. With that gunmetal finish, this is arguably one of the best releases of 2011 thus far."

Air Jordan Retro XII Low “Taxi”, $115

Frank Says: "This is a great re-issue of a classic shoe. This is a good release for the hot weather that is sure to come to ATL, nice tee, camo shorts and these are ready to go!"

Converse x Comme des Garcons PLAY All-Star Chucks Black Hi, $100

Frank Says: "Not only a personal favorite to me, but also to my great friend and the store manager Kim’s favorite as well. It is an awesome look and such a great collaboration paying homage to the Comme Des Garcons Play Line, it is just a classic!"
