These are for men, I repeat these are in fact a mens's release. They're part of whats being called the "highlighter pack," which includes the Air Max Penny 1 as well as a Blazer Mid. Each sneaker is assigned their own specific color that you would normally find in a pack of highlighters. The Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 was paired up with the fuschia highlighter, seeing fuschia accents throughout the predominantly all-black colorway. Nike Sportswear takes it up a notch by adding a translucent outsole, which other than the colorway (and the dimpled upper) is the only deviation from the original design.
