After a near 30-year absence, Converse announces the return of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star. The iconic canvas hightop, often imitated but never duplicated, returns in it original form, complete with the iconic star ankle patch and the iconic All Star outsole pattern on the iconic Vulcanized sole. Once the most popular basketball shoe of all time, the Chuck Taylor was simply forgotten as Converse revived other, lesser-known silhouettes. It's been out of production for so long that original examples are selling for thousands of dollars. "We just forgot about it," a Converse spokesman said. "Besides, the Aero Jam has React Juice." No release information as of yet, but expect it to be extremely limited.
