With Season 3 of You now roughly a month away, Netflix has shared an official trailer.

Released Friday, the new look at the hit thriller opens with some reflections from Penn Badgley’s Joe Goldberg character about his extended “history of scared.”

Catch the new trailer up top and/or below. You returns to Netflix on Oct. 15.

Season 3 sees Joe and Love, played by Victoria Pedretti, married and raising their baby after moving to northern California. At one point in the new trailer, Joe unconvincingly says to Love that they are merely “the nice, normal neighbors next door.”

The official synopsis shared by Netflix also posits that Joe is “committed to his new role as a husband and dad,” but it’s clear from the new trailer that there’s (of course) much more going on with this iteration of Joe than simple dalliances with domestication.

The 10-episode Season 3 renewal for You was first announced in January of last year, just as the “but I can fix that” meme had fully saturated social media.

Speaking with Vulture back in August, Badgley spoke on the hard-to-parse experience of hitting the “very visible person” status and also reflected on the Season 3 shoot.

“We would often joke on set that I was Method for having a baby on the same timeline and there were moments when sharing that experience was helpful,” Badgley said.

Also this year, Badgley appeared in the Stage 6-distributed Here Today, directed and co-written by comedian Billy Crystal. Catch a trailer for that below:
